Sierra Nevada se encuentra situada en el Sistema Penibético y junto a la ciudad Patrimonio de la Humanidad de Granada. La base de la estación esta a 2100 m y el punto más elevado a 3282 m. La estación está dividida en 6 áreas esquiables: Veleta, Laguna de las Yeguas, Borreguiles, Loma Dílar, Parador y Río. Sierra Nevada cuenta con un total de 30 remontes (2 Telecabinas, 15 Telesillas, 5 Telesquíes y 8 Cintas) que dan servicio a 103 pistas (16 verdes, 35 azules, 43 rojas y 9 negras) con una longitud esquiable de 94,8 km. La capacidad total de los remontes es de 49545 esquiadores/hora. La temporada de esquí se inicia en el mes de Diciembre y finaliza en el mes de abril.
